Responsibilities

Human Resources Support To Senior Management

· Help establish human resources objectives in line with company strategic and organizational objectives
· Provide human resources advice and counsel to the senior management group in areas of employee motivation, employee retention, performance management, benefits, and compensation in accordance with our core values
· Support senior management by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures and guidelines in accordance with our core values
· Develop and implements employee feedback surveys and assists with the development of employee communication plans
· Report to the Chief Financial Officer

Human Resources Support To Operational Managers

· Provide human resources guidance and coaching to operational managers in a decentralized human resources framework
· Support in areas of recruitment including helping with writing job postings, placement of ads, interviews and screening
· Support in areas of employee orientation, training, discipline and employment standards
· Manage all disability claims and planned leaves
· Provide support in areas of employee/supervisor disputes
· Coordinate career/performance reviews, compensation systems, and training
· Liaise with the Accounting Manager and Safety Officer

Minimum Requirement

· Posses a human resources degree or diploma combined with a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role or equivalent.
· Hold a CHRP designation
· Confident self-starter
· Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
· Experience in managing other human resource staff
· Deliver innovative human resources expertise by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
