Responsibilities A
member of Short Range Planning group, the Mining planner is
responsible for the design and scheduling of mine projects, covering the 1
week to 1 year horizon. The focus of the position is on construction work
and mine services in the areas of drainage, drilling and blasting, road
design and construction, budgeting, site preparation for major earthwork
projects in the mine, as well as management of various contracting groups.
To achieve results, the Engineer works closely with production personnel
to provide the right support and direction. The position also requires
involvement in the other planning and continuous improvement activities of
the group. |
